When using/changing the new BWT bottles for the first time, a few litres of water have to be drained through the filter bottle and the system has to be deaerated, at which point Bestflush is essential to prevent this "rinse water" from entering the boiler of the coffee machine, and it is often useful to have a small supply of filtered water for making filter coffee, ice, iced drinks, for example, which can be done without buying an extra bottle.
