Hario V60-02 Drip-Assist

It was created by Hario in collaboration with Pete Licata, the 2013 world barista champion. The form of the attachment resembles showerheads used in filter coffee machines. Its function is to evenly distribute the water to the surface of the ground coffee, thanks to which the brewing process can be controlled more thoroughly and thus more consistent.

The Drip-Assist is made of high-quality polymer that is safe for contact with food. It has holes of two sizes - those with a larger diameter in the central part and smaller ones on the outside. Larger holes allow for quick water flow, recommended especially for pre-infusion, while shallow holes make water flow slowly. Water flows into the central section when the outer ring is full, which protects the user against spillage.

Thanks to Drip-Assist, you do not need a gooseneck kettle, because it is the cap that ensures the precision of pouring. It is a great solution also for beginner coffee lovers who do not have a special kettle in their equipment.
